Four Generations of Plumbing Expertise, One Family's Commitment to Your Home
Some people find their calling. For us, plumbing found us.
Our story starts with an uncle and a father who opened doors into this trade, passing down knowledge the way families have done for generations. What began as a young kid riding along in the truck with great tradesmen turned into a lifetime of purpose. Today, my wife Angie and I have the privilege of working alongside our children, bringing a fourth generation into the family business.
Where it all started
My earliest memory of loving this work goes back to second grade show-and-tell. While my classmates brought in pets and parents, I grabbed my father's level and tried to explain slope and fall on a pipe. As I passed it around the room, I told everyone, "That isn't dirt on the level." The screaming and yelling that followed still makes me laugh today.
From there, the path was set. Part-time helper. Apprenticeship. Working alongside my cousin for an uncle we both looked up to more than anyone. We learned on old industrial factories in Pennsylvania, on commercial jobs, on residential calls. Those early years with some of the best and most respected tradespeople in this industry shaped everything about how we work today.
What We've Built Together
Today, I hold three master plumbing licenses in three different states, along with certifications in propane and natural gas, septic systems, medical gas, and more. I'm grateful for every one of those accomplishments.
But here's the truth: my most valuable certificate is the team that works alongside me every day.
Learning to run a business was something nobody handed down. My wife and I figured that out together, the way we were designed to work as partners. No operation manuals, no one offering help. Just two people building something with purpose, learning as we went, surrounded by our children, employees we love, and customers we feel honored to serve.
Why We Do This Work
I watched my father raise seven kids in this industry. No matter how hard times got, this trade always provided for the people willing to work for it. That's still true today. Plumbing offers stability, good pay, hands-on problem solving, and daily purpose. The opportunity this work provides is the same now as it was for the generations before us.
That's something worth protecting.
How We Show Up
When our team arrives at your home, we come with a big heart and a readiness to work hard. It sounds simple, but it makes all the difference. We've built a teaching culture here where every employee learns to serve customers with genuine purpose.
We're not the company that hires just to fill positions and maximize profit. That's never been who we are, and it never will be. We look for people with the right morals, heart, and work ethic. The skills can be taught. The character has to be there from the start.
That's why customers tell us the same things over and over: "You solved my problem." "You're always reliable." "You were transparent and honest." "You understood what I needed."
What Customers Experience
We hear it constantly from our office and our plumbers. When we ask customers why they called us, the answer is almost always the same: a neighbor recommended us, a family member used us, they've called us before. The fact that our office knows customers by name means everything to us.
This is what good old-fashioned service looks like. It's showing up when we say we will. It's explaining what we're doing and why. It's treating your home with respect. It's solving the problem right the first time.
We combine generations of trade knowledge with the newest technology. But what really sets us apart is simpler than that. We make sure every customer feels important, valued, and appreciated. We genuinely care, and people can tell.
Looking Forward
We've watched other companies grow, expand, franchise, and somewhere along the way forget what made them successful in the first place. We hear it from new customers all the time. We hear it from employees who spent decades at other shops before finding us.
Our vision is different. We see Romo's growing and expanding our territory while keeping the culture, the experience, and the service that got us here. More opportunities for the employees who make this company special. More customers who get to experience what real, reliable plumbing service should feel like.
Four generations of knowledge. A family working side by side. A team that shows up with heart. That's Romo's Plumbing, and we'd be honored to serve your home.
A Personal Note
Something not many people know about me: I have a twin sister. We've heard all the theories about secret languages and telepathic communication, and we've definitely played some good jokes on people over the years. But there is some truth to that special bond. It's very common for us to reach out to each other and say, "I was just going to call you. I was thinking the same thing."
She's way better looking than I am. I have five sisters, and my wife is very close to my twin. Family is everything to me. When I'm not working (which honestly never feels like work), you'll find me with them. That's the most beautiful treasure.
It's no accident that we run a family business. We love one another and getting to spend both work and personal time together is a gift.
